This filter features activated woven carbon media for absorption of airborne contaminants such as gases and odours. This can include VOC (volatile organic compounds) by absorbing these molecules to the highly porous surface area of carbon granules. This filter also acts a pre filter to protect the HEPA filter behind it.

This is the Vapor-Lock high capacity Carbon Filter. It works as an insertable filter for certain HEPA air filtration units, adding to their effectiveness for certain environments and purposes. We recommend swapping out each Carbon Filter after 2 WEEKS of continuous and heavy use, but this can be extended much longer for light use.
